About Me

EVELYN SHANOFF

I’m a medical/scientific illustrator and animator working in Long Island, New York. In the Spring of 2023, I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology receiving a BFA in Medical Illustration with a minor in history. I discovered medical illustration in high school. After expressing a desire to find a profession where I can combine my love of science and passion for art, one of my favorite teachers showed me that I could and pointed me to this career path. In addition to my obvious love of drawing, I really enjoy the research that goes into making these kinds of pieces. To me, science is a big puzzle and I love learning how to put the pieces together! I’m always interested in learning about new topics and using my skills to make it more accessible to a wider audience.

I interned for New England Biolabs for three semesters, currently work for NYU Langone, and also freelance for Singularity Science. In my free time, I enjoy baking and working on personal art projects.
